What is a LibGuide?

A LibGuide is an interactive research guide to help students, faculty and staff build information literacy skills.  Information literacy is the ability to identifiy an information need and then locate, evaluate and use information effectively from a variety of sources.  LibGuides are part of the library instruction program.  In collaboration with faculty, librarians and Learning Commons staff will create LibGuides for individual classes, general areas of the curriculum, and tutoring services.
